19 weeks and an emotional wreck

Is that normal???? I was fine during 1st trimester but I reached 19 weeks and I just want to cry all the time Hmm

A song that's not even sad can set me off? I cried at work today at 8:30am and walking up the stairs to shower.

Honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry at myself lol. Hoping this is just a phase 😂

Hopefully it’s nothing and just hormones but there’s a strong link with post natal depression and a shortage of omega 3s and 6s so do just make sure you have enough of these ! Growing babies deplete some of our own supply I think and need them for brain development etc if I’ve understood correctly . I take a supplement as don’t eat fish twice a week

Ps I’m sure it’s normal though! I cried when one of DD’s friends did well at something I think!!

@Wildrobin

I hope it's just hormones! I take my pregnancy vitamin each day so I am assuming that has those in?

I will see how I go!! I'm got a nice long weekend break maybe that will help Grin

No they are an oil so usually be separate from the multi, mine are little golden capsule things . I have a pregnancy nutrition book that raves about them! They need to be specifically pregnancy ones I think so low mercury . I figured there’s no harm in taking them as good for the brain too!

Thank you. I will have a look into that and maybe think about purchasing some!!

I don’t think it’s essential but I’m still reading pregnancy books like mad and today’s one has a section on it being potentially helpful for IQ and also dyslexia which I thought was mostly genetic (maybe it still is).

I hope your pregnancy is going well otherwise; I’m 21 weeks now and no one else can feel any movements yet as they aren’t quite big enough !

WJK00 · 08/12/2021 16:32

@Wildrobin thank you! Did you find out what your are having or are you keeping it a surprise?!

I started feeling tiny little movements end of last week. So surreal 😍

We did find out as I wondered if it would help our older ones adjust but in fact rather wish I hadn’t as they might have loved the surprise! They told us v early at 13 week scan that seemed definitely a boy and the 20 week one confirmed it.
Are you finding out? It did feel exciting and I didn’t have any preference !

WJK00 · 08/12/2021 16:58

Ah congratulations 🤩

Yes we went for a scan at 16 weeks to put my mind at ease and also find out the gender and we are having a boy too! It's so exciting.

Can't wait for my 20 week scan next week I just hope all is well!

That’s so lovely. Yes the 20 week one seems an important one and ours paid special attention to the heart as we have some heart issues in the family so it was nice to hear so far looked normal. I do hope yours goes well
