I am 14 weeks today. My stress and anxiety is through the roof today. I'm finding work hard to deal with. Not sure if it's just that or it's hormonal changes going on.

I just feel really panicked and anxious as if something terrible is about to happen. I can't seem to relax and settle.

Is it worth speaking to the doctor to get signed off from work? I feel silly doing it because I personally only have another 3 weeks (this week included) until I'm off on Christmas leave anyway but I'm worried I'm stressing the baby out.

I've already been signed off October - November with morning sickness. I can't even go on maternity until the end of March at the earliest I think. Just not sure how to cope until then

Anyone else been through similar?

If you don't feel yourself then get help. It's what they are there fore. You have enough to think about that you need to be kind to yourself and look after you Smile

If you are struggling then it’s worth talking to your GP about it, although could you talk to your manager about working reduced hours or working from home to see if that helps?

Also check your mat leave policy and how they work out your pay during may leave - as if youre on sick pay during the qualifying months it might be reduced.

New name alert.

Thanks for the replies. I have spoken to the doctor and I've to self certificate for 7 days and he will then write a sick line for me. I've spoken to my work aswell and they have arranged a meeting with occupational health for me
