How tired is everyone else at 36 weeks?

Trying to get a sense of what is 'normal'! I am on iron tablets as my iron levels dropped at last blood test a few weeks ago. I have a dd who is 3 and I'm at home with her except for a couple of hours of morning preschool. Last few days I've wanted to go back to sleep a few hours after waking! I don't remember this last time. How is everyone else doing?

Hey! I am 36 weeks tomorrow and feel exactly the same I also have a 13 month old but I think its pretty normal 😅 not long until we are tired from feeding baby through the night! Good luck x

I'm 37 weeks and the tiredness is really setting in now. Also struggling with getting to sleep at Night which isn't helping

Flutterby8 · 06/12/2021 11:07

When i was 36 weeks i was absolutely wiped out. I was still working full time as well which didnt help. Id literally get home from work and crash on the sofa every night. I dont have another child to run around after either!

I'm 37+1 and just feel exhausted all the time now. I've got a 23 month old and just turned 4 year old do rest is in short supply now.

I really struggled 28 weeks onward but not doing tooooo badly at the min. I get incredibly tired after tidying up / making dinner etc but then as soon as I'm in bed I can't switch off! I have a 3yo DD too which doesn't help (as lovely as she is!)

Glad it's not just me but also sorry everyone else is feeling it too! X

I'm sleeping about 10 hours during the night and having a 1-2 hour nap during the day, too. I'm 36+4 and it started about a week ago

stormelf · 13/12/2021 22:42

I hope you are all doing okay and not too exhausted. I had my little girl five days ago and I feel so much less tired now. Even with the night time feeds it is so much easier now she is here, I don't feel nearly as drained. I hope it is the same for everyone else and wish you all the luck in the next few weeks

37+1 and tired all day until bedtime and then I'm wired! I don't let myself nap either to try and make the nights better but it's not working. Not long to go!

Congratulations @stormelf - is great to hear you're feeling less tired. I'm 36+3, and I've been wondering how on earth I'm going to cope when the baby is here if I'm feeling this tired right now. Insomnia at night, and just wiped out during the day.

I’m 30+5 and completely wiped out, wondering how long I can carry on working full time! It must be so difficult with other little ones to look after. Congrats @stormelf very glad to hear you are feeling less tired too!
