Bought a stash of alchohol free Becks yesterday but not sure if it's ok to drink. I'm sure I read somewhere that it's packed full of chemicals and other nasties and that it's not enitrely alcohol free.

yes, I had that when I was pregnant with DS1. It's supposed to be entirely alcohol-free. Mind you, I could only manage one bottle for an entire evening when I had it...Can't face it at all in this pregnancy, for some reason.

Becks is good beer,No crap in it and the alcohol free ones are tolerable.

One with alcohol was fine by me too.

MrsBadger · 17/12/2007 22:22

tis fine
but 0% Cobra is nicer

Gursky · 17/12/2007 22:23

The Cobra one is good. It actually tastes like beer to me - so much so that DH drinks it too!

ordinary beer is fine in moderatation. I had a couple of beers every weekend when pregnant with DS (1991) and was fine. Just got home from his school prize giving where he got a prize for most A star GCSEs and special prize for English. So he is fine obviously

I am on the same lines as you themoon66...I am 25 weeks and enjoy a wee guinness once or twice a week, oh, and because its christmas I am really going to town and enjoying the odd Baileys WHEY !!

slim22 · 18/12/2007 11:54

it's fine....but are you really looking forward to just feeling bloated?
One beer is fine and will relax you. Just don't drink it on an empty stomach!

skidoodle · 18/12/2007 12:35

they used to give guinness to pregnant ladies as it was considered to be so good for them. I think it was something to do with keeping up your iron levels.

Sorry if that spoils your decadent treat at all andallthatjazz

andallthatjazz · 18/12/2007 13:20

Oh nothing would spoil my little guinness tipple...I have heard the stories re guinness/stout and iron...this is why I dont feel so bad when I enjoy the lurvley black stuff!
