3 sweeps later

I'm now 41+1, had third sweep yesterday. Had mild period pain cramps after as well as fresh blood and mucus type discharge. Currently 2:30am and the period type pains are constant and seem a lot worse. Is this normal for a sweep or is it a sign labour is coming?

If the pain is CONSTANT rather than coming in waves, I’d call your midwife just to be on the safe side. Good luck in the next few days! (And years!) ;-)

Thanks! Been in triage today, had a fourth sweep! Only 1cm dilated so it's a waiting game..a long one😂
