Decreasing RPM and Breathing Rate at 6 weeks

Driving myself insane with this one. I'm 6 weeks 3 days, and using an Ava bracelet in pregnancy setting. For over a a week now, my resting pulse rate and breathing rate have been decreasing. On 25th November, rpm was 73.8 bpm whereas last night it was only 63.3 bpm. My breathing rate has gone from about 14.5 breaths per minute to 13.9.

Symptom-wise, I've had some mild cramping, a mild headachy feeling and some very mild nausea. It feels more like a slight hangover than anything.

I'm booked for a viability scan on Tuesday and I've been seriously considering bringing it forward. However, trying to resist as I know the earlier it is, the less likely it is to show anything useful/conclusive.

Any thoughts/reassurance? DH thinks I should just ditch the Ava and stop worrying but finding it hard to think of anything other than what might be going wrong. I just want to know what's going on!

Ditch the Ava

Ditch the Ava, stopped all self monitoring and attend all the appointments and scans set out by the NHS, not your own extra schedule and do NOT buy a home fetal doppler.

You are setting yourself up for a very stressful pregnancy otherwise.

Your DH is right. You are giving yourself unnecessary stress.
