Forceps recovery

I had a forceps delivery nearly 11 weeks ago with episiotomy, second degree tear and labial tear. Im still not quite sure where exactly all this happened-they didn’t really debrief in hospital or go through my notes and it all looked a bit car crash down below to start with.
I’m still sore and the wound still feels quite raw. I also feel quite swollen internally, though luckily have not experienced incontinence.
The GP said im healing up well but I don’t feel that her examination was sufficiently thorough.
Has anyone been referred onto gynaecology after forceps just to get checked? Also has anyone self referred to a womens health physio?
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
How long did it take your wound to heal?
Lots of questions!!

I would check with a women health physio. They might be able to asses the status of your pelvic floor. I have a friend who needed forceps and she managed to recover perfectly.
