Should I be worried? 11 weeks pregnant with spotting and clots

Hi everyone,

Looking for advice and/or reassurance...

I'm 11 weeks today. First pregnancy so no idea what is or isn't normal.

Earlier this week and lasting a few days I had some unusual clear/pale yellow discharge when I wiped. Didn't think much of it at the time.

Yesterday I had a little brown spotting, only once this happened though.

This morning I went to the toilet and when I wiped I noticed brown spotting, a tiny bit of fresh blood and a brown stringy looking clot.

Now starting to really panic. I've called the EPU, but had to leave a voicemail and waiting a return call.

I dont have any cramping at the minute and this hasn't happened again in the last hour since I first seen it.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so what was the outcome?

Hi, how are you? Did you speak to EPU?

I'm in exactly the same boat, just no discharge but wiped yesterday and there was red ish, brown blood, one tiny clot and now it's stopped but tiny bit of brown when I wipe (really not much). I was 12 weeks yesterday and had a real freak out but 111 said don't both going to a&e as they probably wouldn't get to me. Waiting for EPU to be open this morning but wondering if you got through to them and what they said?

Feel silly for celebrating turning 12 weeks yesterday now

I had similar symptoms at around 14 weeks. Turns out it was caused by thrush. It’s probably absolutely nothing to worry about but do go and get checked.
