Early pregnancy

Hi. I’ve never put a message on here before. So I got a positive pregnancy test on Tuesday 1st December after 12dpo. My period was technically due yesterday but today I’ve noticed very period like cramps. I’m now worried that it’s going to start and I won’t be pregnant 😞 has anyone else suffered from this? Is it normal?

I got positive test on the 23rd, also 12DPO. I've had quite a bit of cramping but no period so could just be pregnancy cramps. Fingers crossed for you

Period like cramps are very usual in early pregnancy. As long as they are not scary painful and there's no bleeding, it is completely normal.

Congratulations OP. I also got a positive test yesterday (I was due on yesterday too) I have had some twinges so far, I think that’s normal in early pregnancy as your body starts to change. I keep expecting my period to start though 🤣

@HMTTC I got those type cramps until roughly 16 weeks pregnant. Baby is growing fine :) I’m now 21 weeks pregnant & still get stretching type aches & pains. Try not to worry, your body is going through a lot!

I'm 23 weeks now and had cramps for a few weeks after I tested positive. As long as there's no.heavy bleeding and they aren't severe you should be fine 😊 congrats!

So happy for you I got a BFP on 28th which was 1-2weeks the same this is my fourth pregnancy - the last 2 ended in MC's but I can totally say that cramps are super normal mine usually feels like my period is due but Just never arrives. Yay! The first 12 weeks are such an anxious time but try to enjoy them as much as possible especially before the nausea kicks in (unless your lucky and you breeze past that one) congratulations 🎉 x
