I'm around 10 weeks pregnant and over the moon about this. But..I feel absolutely drained. I'm suffering with sickness which seems to come more in the evening. I did try anti sickness tablets but they didn't really help me. I also feel constantly tired..like exhausted. I'm working full time with 2 children (8 and 6) and just feel like I can't keep on top of everything. It takes all my energy to have a shower every day...and I haven't shaved my legs in forever Blush. I know this is probably normal but I can't remember it being this bad on my previous two. A friend has suggested maybe because it's that I'm older this time (early 30"s) ..but I'm not sure how true that is. Anyone else suffering with a lack of energy ? And how you managed with it.

I really feel for you! I don’t know how your managing it with working and with children! I am 38 and feel terrible! First baby, about 16 weeks and feel horrific, anytime I am not working I am in bed, never slept so much - feel guilty feeling like i moan but it’s not easy. I don’t have any suggestions apart from rest when you can xx hope you feel better soon x

Ps I never new my leg hair could get so long, but am tired just thinking of shaving them! Surprised my husband hasn’t left me for turning into a slob! X

Until I was about 16/17 weeks I thought I might have depression as I was so lacking in motivation and so low.
I actually remember saying to DH that if someone had told me that I wasn’t pregnant, it was all a mistake and I actually had leukaemia, I would have thought that made perfect sense. I was so, so tired. I do t think there’s any managing it, I just used to go to bed at 7.30pm and sleep all night.
I felt so much better at 17 weeks that I thought there was something wrong with the babies. There wasn’t, I’m 22 weeks now and have the odd tired day but I’m mostly fine.

I’ve been exactly the same, evening nausea too. I’ve managed by literally doing the bare minimum and going to bed as soon as the kids go every night. My husband has been pretty helpful and supportive which has made it easier. I’m now 14 weeks and feel a lot better than I did at 10 (not totally normal but much more manageable). I’d say the all day exhaustion eased around 12 weeks and the nausea reduced at 13 for me. I’m still tired and a bit nauseas but not in the intense way I was. Weeks 9,10&11 were the worst.

Hang in there and make life as easy as you can for yourself at the moment Flowers

Its feels quite good to have a moan now and then..to let it all out. No idea who came up with the suggestion that pregnant leaves you looking glowing . I feel like I look homeless atm Confused. My leg hair is the same.. .I told my partner how I couldn't be bothered to shave in between tears (blaming that on hormones lol) and he just laughed and said it didn't bother him. It might be a different story when you can plait the hair mind Grin

Hello! Welcome to the preggo party where we’re all knackered 🤣 I am now 34 weeks and feel 1000% better than I did at ten weeks. Weeks 8-16 for me were literally like a zombie film. I was exhausted, like I’d spent 2 months in Ibiza sort of tired. It will pass! You’ll get your mojo back. I think it’s because at that phase the big bits are really developing quite quickly- by 20-24 weeks everything is ‘made’ so even early on you are building someone’s brain, essential organs and literally creating the toolkit for life! Rest as much as you can. I felt much better once I’d gotten into the second trimester and even now I feel pretty good, just uncomfortable. Congrats! Xox

Also my leg hair has now totally stopped growing.. so that might be something to look forward to!! Handy as I can’t reach down there anyway.
Another bright light on the horizon- I’ve got the best nails of my life. Like acrylics but my very own!! And thick, shiny, hair. Lovely perks. I’m somewhat annoyed as it means my body is obvs capable of having those things, it just chooses not to the rest of the time 😂 x

I feel you I am almost 11weeks with my second I am usually super active but I am exhausted if it wasn't for me having a very active toddler I'd be in bed most of the day. But I do remember this lifting in my first pregnancy so fingers crossed it's just hormones and the fact your growing a tiny person!! Grin

@Situation89 I'm in awe of you doing this with 2 young kids. I am.24 weeks now but from about week 6-13 I was absolutely exhausted worse than I've ever been in my life and same as you my sickness was so bad in the evenings. My only solution was just to eat small meals in the evening usually a sandwich then go to bed as soon as humanly possible and sleep as much as I could. Totally understand its easier said than done with 2 kids. Just remember it won't last forever (I didnt believe it at the time but its true) you got this!

Pinklemonade16 · 08/12/2021 20:49

Omg yes. I’m 11 weeks and feel like absolute crap every evening. Sickness was bad early on but it’s a little better not, apart from the evening which I feel so groggy and just like crap. Hoping it gets better soon..!!

UncomfortableBadger · 08/12/2021 20:50

Have every sympathy OP - I’m 10 weeks too and struggling with the incessant vomiting. It’s vile and so hard to deal with, even though I know that it’s a good sign and that this baby is so wanted. The early mornings and evenings are the worst for me.

I’m holding out that things will improve from week 12ish as that’s when the placenta starts to kick in. Fingers crossed.

Situation89 · 10/12/2021 06:49

Its so hard isn't it. Don't get me wrong I'm so happy but at the same time I'm finding it quite draining. Good news is the sickness has calmed down but I'm in bed by 8pm most night as can't keep my eyes open. Had my booking in appt last week so should hopefully be having a scan between Xmas and new year. How is everyone else feeling?

I am 10 weeks tomorrow and I feel horrific. I have a 13 year old son when I was 20 and it was a breeze. I’m absolutely over the moon to be pregnant as this is something myself and my partner longed for. However I feel like I am dying. I have severe sickness and taking medication i feel dizzy and I really hope I feel better soon 😢
