pud - massive hug xx

Have a foolproof remedy for heartburn

peppermint oil (2-3 drops of the proper stuff from health food shop) in boiling water, add a teaspoon of clear honey, stir and sip from a metal spoon.

I think Heston Blumenthal does a remedy for heartburn, pud1... first you need to catch a rare mongoose from Outer Mongolia and smoke it gently in a 12 foot pit you've dug for the purpose...

Feel better and just think - only SEVEN weeks to baby!

Wisteria · 17/12/2007 13:31

it does work rabbit - I promise!

LOL wisteria, I'm sure yours does, but pud1 was bemoaning Heston the other day she knows I'm just teasin'

Wisteria · 17/12/2007 13:39

Aaah - I understand now!

I was like that pud, tis horrid - I was also told to sip from the side of the spoon slowly but I know that sounds a bit like 'turn widdershins and drop dew on your forehead' so left it out.......

pud1 · 17/12/2007 13:59

tbh wisteria i would try anything. even a heston style hairbrained idea

Pud you need a hug not a slap. I went on maternity leave at 31+3 and for me it was not a day too soon, I was completely done. Feeling much better now (at 34 weeks). Admitting you are feeling cr*p is not the same as being ungrateful for your baby or disrespectful to the baby you lost. Late pregnancy is hard work. And, to be totally honest, I sometimes almost get cross with my lo as he is quite violent and can really hurt me, but I am so grateful for him. It is all a mixed bag. Take care of yourself.
