am 33 weeks pg and am finding it soo hard, i havent got any real problems but have got bad heartburn and am totally knackered. i am sat at my desk nearly falling asleep. i am working this week then doing one week after new year then i finish for my matt leave,
i feel so ungrateful as i have been trying for a baby for 2 years and have had prev m/c.
feel free to give me a virtual slap or join me in feeling sorry for myself

Have a foolproof remedy for heartburn

peppermint oil (2-3 drops of the proper stuff from health food shop) in boiling water, add a teaspoon of clear honey, stir and sip from a metal spoon.

I think Heston Blumenthal does a remedy for heartburn, pud1... first you need to catch a rare mongoose from Outer Mongolia and smoke it gently in a 12 foot pit you've dug for the purpose...

Aaah - I understand now!

I was like that pud, tis horrid - I was also told to sip from the side of the spoon slowly but I know that sounds a bit like 'turn widdershins and drop dew on your forehead' so left it out.......

Pud you need a hug not a slap. I went on maternity leave at 31+3 and for me it was not a day too soon, I was completely done. Feeling much better now (at 34 weeks). Admitting you are feeling cr*p is not the same as being ungrateful for your baby or disrespectful to the baby you lost. Late pregnancy is hard work. And, to be totally honest, I sometimes almost get cross with my lo as he is quite violent and can really hurt me, but I am so grateful for him. It is all a mixed bag. Take care of yourself.
