Bratwurst while pregnant?

Probably a silly question but I'm going to the Christmas market today is it safe to eat a bratwurst sausage?

eh? Why on earth wouldn't it be?

There is nothing wrong with eating Bratwurst in pregnancy at all
However, as with all food while pg you need to be a bit more careful about food handling and hygiene so make sure you feel comfortable with that before eating anything at all

I think they probably meant food that is smoked instead of being cooked
Bratwurst isn’t usually smoked anyway as far as I know (German is DH so I have eaten a lot of German sausage)

Any pork sausages that are smoked will either be cooked as well, or hot smoked which cooks them at the same time as smoking. You won't be served raw pork anywhere!

I imagine they will heat it before serving so it will be fine to eat. Maybe you are thinking of foods that have been cured rather than cooked as you should be more careful of those
