Early labour signs/stories?

Hello!
I was hoping to get some of your early labour signs or stories to help me through the next couple of weeks!! I'm 39+3 and swear I was in early labour last night as I kept getting woken up every 30 mins to an hour or so with the worst shooting pain/pressure in my lower abdomen! It kind of felt like a pushing down on my cervix!? But then around 4/5am it just stopped AngrySad

Did anyone else experience anything like this? I wouldn't say it was the typical "period like pains" that people say contractions feel like but they were definitely strong enough to wake me up and make me have to walk around a bit!

Thanks in advance xxx

Hi, not long to wait now ☺️
My last labour I had a show at 39+2, got excited for no reason lol. 5 days later (due date) I woke up at about 4am and had a bloody show. Short while later contractions started. They weren’t too painful and started to die down throughout the day. The following morning, again 4am I woke bursting for a wee, as soon as I emptied my bladder contractions started again and they were then regular and increasingly painful. Went to a supermarket at 7am to grab a few bits and my waters went down the crisp aisle haha I couldn’t take the pain after this (ds was back to back) so went to the hospital who confirmed my waters had gone but I was only 3cm, they tried to send me home however a male mw overheard the conversation and came in and said no she needs to go straight to delivery, well all I can say is thank goodness for him because it wasn’t long after that ds made his grand appearance into the world.
What I will say is that if you are wondering if they are true contractions they probably aren’t, contractions are pretty much undeniable, there’s a huge difference between late pregnancy pains or braxton hicks and true labour pains
Good luck you’ll soon have your newborn snuggles xx
