Pregnancy feeling rough, Labour?

Has anyone else felt really rough before labour?

For just over a week, I've been feeling sick, dizzy, headaches, cramps, lack of appetite and just generally feeling rubbish!

I'm 38+4 and I feel like my body is just giving up and I'm not sure how much longer I can feel this rubbish 😭

Any tips? Is there an end in sight? 🤞

Have you been checked over by a midwife? Labour can make you sick and give you the shits, but I'm not sure if it would last a week. I'd want to be checked out to make sure it's not a problem with blood pressure or something else that needs to be treated.

When did you last have a check up with the midwife/Dr? Headaches and generally feeling rough could be signs that you are developing pre-eclampsia....if it hasn't been checked recently, I would get your BP and urine checked. If it has been done recently and normal then it could be a bug/early labour/viral infection/exhaustion etc.

@EnidFrighten I saw the midwife on Sunday and she said my blood pressure was fine and didn't seem bothered about my symptoms.

But I feel really rough today and like my body is failing me. I'm usually a pretty tough cookie and it's not like me to lie in bed or lounge around.
I feel like I won't cope if I go into labour now 😭

If it was me, I'd try to talk to midwives on the phone just to check.
