Screening Test Results

Apologies if this is really obvious but I was wondering if you get any indication at the 12-week scan if there's any potential abnormalities or issues.

I have an appointment a few days later to discuss the screening results which I assume will include information from the blood tests, but was wondering if you'd find out any information at the scan?

Thanks.

@PinkTot yes you can get clues from the scan… if you have the NT measurement they will look at the fluid behind babies neck - a measurement of 3.5 and below is considered normal, higher indicates a possible issue with Down syndrome. (Possible not definite, don’t want to panic you - people can have a high NT measurement and have no issues at all) They also look at babies basic anatomy and have a look at the heart.

That's super helpful @Honey2

Thank you!
