Hey guys. This is my 3rd pregnancy I’m 12 weeks and haven’t experienced this before so wanted to know if anyone has thoughts. I’m very generally unwell - not morning sickness but just generally very unwell tired/almost as though something is the matter. I don’t feel like something is the matter with the baby but almost as though caused by the pregnancy/something wrong with me I can’t put my finger on. Does anyone know what I mean/has anyone experienced this?

Can you describe more how you feel?

For a while in this pregnancy I felt generally unwell too - like when I stood up I felt dizzy/sicky and just like exhausted and unwell like I had to sit down immediately. I thought it was iron but that was checked and it wasn't. Since then I have started to drink a lot more and feel a lot better!!!

Hi. I think calling your GP and INSISTING on doing a very through, complete blood count is the way to go. Trust your instincts.

In my first pregnancy, I started being extremely sick as early as 4 weeks and it never went away, I suffered the entire pregnancy. Extreme fatigue, general weakness, almost like I'm in a constant state of flu. It was brushed off the whole pregnancy, no doctor or midwife took me seriously because I wasn't vomiting. Even when I told them I'm forced to stop working and I'm losing income and struggling it wasn't taken seriously. It was absolute misery.

After delivery which was traumatic, I developed PTSD and it apparently triggered fibromyalgia.

Nowadays, I feel like the terrible feeling I had in pregnancy was maybe the beginning of fibro. Then PTSD exacerbated it.

Pushing for blood check, including hormones and vitamins, is the very least you can do. Many doctors sadly don't look past iron deficiency, if your iron turns out to be okay, you're forgotten.

I was like this with 4th and 3rd to a certain extent. Your older and have other d s to care for. I had gestational diabetes with no 4.

I just feel as if I have a head cold without any of the symptoms. I feel heavy, I feel extremely tired and sick. My nausea has subsided a little I’m just retching a bit but my stomach feels heavy and unwell - whether or not I eat.

My GP is pretty useless like it’s so hard to get an appt I am not sure if I try the walk in but I doubt they do bloods? Mat notes basically say if you’re fewer than 18 weeks it’s a and e or gp. I just feel like something is not right with me.

I just felt really unwell and thirsty but was thirsty in pregnancy 1 and 2 as well.

Go with your gut and push for answers, surely the mw should see you?

Local walk in won’t do bloods or urine so will have to push to see midwife or gp this week. I’m also very thirsty but same in first pregnancies snd still breastfeeding which doesn’t help.

Hi, did you ever get any answer? I had the same during my pregnancy, it was horrific. I spoke to many different doctors and no one ever listens to me. Mine started in my second trimester and then went mostly 5 months after giving birth. I still get the off day that it comes back, I’m always so scared it’s going to become constant again
