Pregnancy of unknown location?!

In need of a little positivity right now, I'm about 4+5 and was in hospital during the week for bad abdominal pain. Turns out I had ovarian torsion and a 4cm dermoid cyst on my left ovary. Luckily, the torsion corrected itself before I went into surgery so they decided to wait due to the results from the scan.

I have a pregnancy of unknown location, hcg was 39 and progesterone 48 so not great. I went in for bloods today and due to hear back on Monday, but they kept mentioning ectopic, and I know they said that's a possibility but they also said it's most likely I'm just too early for the pregnancy to be seen.

Is anyone experiencing or had the same thing? I took a test today and the line is definitely darker which I guess is a good sign as on Thursday the line was so faint they were like don't even think you're pregnant! Just need to hear from people who have managed to find their little bean and everything has been normal! X

Is is early to see anything. Have they booked you in gor a blod test 48h after your first one to see if your Hcg is doubling? I would ask for that.

OP I don’t know what my levels were, but I too got told I had a pregnancy of the unknown location. I’m now 20 weeks. 4+5 is very early! My first scan I was less than 5 weeks like you & got told the same as you, pregnancy of unknown location. 2 weeks later baby was right where she should be with a visible flickering heartbeat.

@DiamondSnow yes I had follow up bloods Saturday morning, just waiting to hear back the results today!

Just found out hcg has risen from 39 to 51 in 48 hours, going back on Friday for repeat bloods. Seems like it's not looking great 😞
