Hello,
Sorry if this is TMI and I am not a poo troll, just having some issues! I have name changed as a bit embarrassed actually.
For the past two days my bowels seek to be in overdrive. For example, yesterday I had 7 trips to the toiletBlush is this normal?! I'm getting annoyed that I have to keep going which probably sounds silly but it feels like such an inconvenience Grin
Does this mean labour is near because that's what I've been reading and I'm getting nervous! I haven't had diarrhoea, just normal stool.

I had this in my last pregnancy, towards the end I could hardly eat as my stomach and bowels were being crushed by the baby.

Have you got any cramps or other types of pain? It could be a hormonal issue- like period poops (Google it there's a lot of information on this). May also just be a space issue. During this pregnancy I have gone between being constipated and going 3-4 times a day without any apparent reason. What I do know is that some people will need the toilet more when they are nervous. So you may find yourself going round in circles: worrying about going to the toilet more and as a result going to the toilet more. I would try to relax if you can or ask your midwife- I'm pretty sure she will reassure you. And I really wouldn't be embarrassed- life will be all about bodily functions of you and your baby pretty soon. Good luck! X
