Hi everyone

I am currently 21+5 and suffer from ongoing anxiety and panic attacks. It seems to be pretty much daily and anything can trigger me, it can be food I ate or something that came up at work. I am so worried about inadvertently harming the baby which only makes it worse. I tried meditating, calming apps and nothing seems to work. I was always a bit of an anxious person but never needed to me medicated for it. I am not sure if it is pregnancy hormones or what is going on with me ?! I managed to secure an appointment with a psychologist through private medical insurance but it is not until end of December. Has anyone experienced anything similar in pregnancy ? Are your babies ok ? Any reassurance would be much appreciated x

Hi it’s really common to have this in pregnancy. Please speak to your gp, midwife and I think should be able to refer you to a perinatal mental health team for support . This may help too. www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/postnatal-depression-and-perinatal-mental-health/about-maternal-mental-health-problems/
