Measuring small at 27 weeks

Hi,

I'm 26 weeks and 6 days today. When the midwife measured my bump today, she said that I'm measuring a bit small (I was just on the line). She booked me in for another appointment in two weeks time. If I'm still measuring small then I will be referred to a growth scan.

Has anyone had this issue and it all turned out okay?

Thanks xx

Yep I measured small at 32 weeks, had a growth scan, baby actually measured big! Also apparently 26-28 weeks is a little early for measuring bump anyway, according to my midwife, so I wouldn't worry yet for the time being (and potentially just enjoy not being huge?). Just make sure you're eating healthy ofc!

Yes I measured small at 28 weeks, had a scan which showed I was borderline for enough amniotic fluid, and baby was measuring small, less than 5th percentile. I had growth scans every two weeks to keep an eye on it, but delivered a very healthy baby at 39+4. She’s 16m now and on the small side, 25th percentile, but wonderful in every way 😊

Hi! My bump measured small around 26 weeks. It measured big at 28 and small again at 31. Had a growth scan (and also a privet scan in-between) and the baby is measuring perfectly.
It really depends on your body (I feel sometimes my bump doesn't grow, and all of a sudden it gets much bigger overnight). The baby also love to change positition and that can effect the measurements of your belly.
Try not to worry (I know...easier said than done). Between 26-30 weeks your baby will grow a huge amount, I think it is normal if it's measuring a bit small.

Yes baby measured small throughout and had growth scans every two weeks. Gave birth to a small but perfectly healthy baby at 39 weeks and had no problems since. Measuring small isn’t always bad, some babies are just meant to be small.

My bump measured 24 at 27 weeks so I was sent for a scan. All fine on scan and baby exactly the size they should be.
