I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this

I haven't gained much weight during pregnancy - 36 weeks & 10lb. baby is measuring exactly average, and I was quite small to begin with.. 120lb, now 130lb

I am wondering/worrying about after the birth if this means i could end up lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight, which to me seems like i would be very light then, or if it just means that i will lose only the 7-8lb of baby .

any experience welcome

I suffered with morning sickness and food aversiona during pregnancy so didn't put on much weight, less than a stone and babies were each around 8lbs. I was actually a stone lighter the day after I gave birth than before I fell pregnant - I felt like a celeb who pinged back Grin. However, within a year of each pregnancy I was back to my normal weight - sigh

I'm currently 30 +6 and weighed myself this morning, I'm still 5kg less than my booking in weight- I'm going to ask my midwife on Tuesday but I was a size 14 to begin with

When I had my first I put on 6lbs and that’s what he was at birth! The whole pregnancy I just wore my normal clothes. For reference i am about 5ft 10 and a size 12 usually, around about 12 stone odd. This time around I feel fucking giant, been in maternity clothes since about 12 weeks and at 36 weeks she was apparently 7lb. I’m now 38 weeks and she’s probably a ton 😂 however in terms of weight gain I don’t think it’s quite a stone and hopefully most of that is baby. Midwife said my BMI was still in the healthy range (although I know that is meaningless) Im going to weigh myself before and after birth on my smart scales to see the difference! I’ll worry about the extra mars bar and mince pie weight gain in the new year

With my first I never got out of my normal jeans and weighed less than before I was pregnant due to awful HG. Number 2&3 I didn’t put much on either and had the constant scanning as my bump was always small for dates. I don’t make particularly big babies though.
All will be well 💗

I gained 23lbs with DS and he weighed 7lbs 12lb. I lost most it at the birth and was back to my pre-pregnancy weight in a few weeks. I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh, I also meant to say that I gained weight more rapidly in the final month so don't be surprised if you put on a few more pounds over the next four weeks. Your baby is growing apace atm!
