Has anyone had a baby that measured below the 5th centile during pregnancy? What was the outcome (regular monitoring etc)? Also were you able to go full term or did you have to be induced?

I'm 33 weeks today & had a growth scan last week due to having a previous small baby - born 40+6 and weighing 6lbs 8oz. They didn't have many concerns until last week, I am now having a CTG & another test tomorrow and then a repeat growth scan next friday (34 weeks) to see how little one is coming along. Really just looking for others experiences with this.

This pregnancy I've been measuring smaller throughout. I measured about a week behind at the 20 week scan and now 3 weeks behind at the 32 week scan which dropped baby well below the 5th centile.

My first was below the 5th centile and was small throughout the pregnancy. I had regular growth scans and she remained small, but growing. I had a sweep and she was born 3 weeks early, weighing 5lb 10. She was in NICU for three days and I exclusively breast fed as I was so worried about her, I wanted to do as much as I could to give her a good start. She's 9 now and absolutely fine. Average weight, average height, reasonably clever. You'd never know what a tiny baby she used to be.

I had my baby last week, she was born at 39+1 at 6lb 7oz (for my height etc she was 5%).

Perfectly healthy, just a bit small. She was weighed at 5 days at 7lb 1oz so she is putting on weight really well.

She was born 5g heavier than the last growth scan 2 days earlier. The only difference is that I was taken in to be induced.
