Is it safe to order a car seat online?

Perhaps I’m being overly cautious but is it safe to order a car seat online? I’m thinking about the risk of it being chucked about and bashed in the delivery process.

Are they generally well packaged to avoid damage in delivery?

How do you think they get to the retailers?

It will be fine ordering it online.

They are well wrapped in the boxes.

Airplanes on the other hand...

Of course - all of the shop car seats have come from online anyway. We ordered a 3 in 1 travel system and it arrived perfectly.

Yes it’s fine! Do make sure you research well though, not all car seats are equal in terms of safety

They are really well packaged. It’s a complete non issue and an unavoidable one at that because even if buying in store it obviously had to transported there… The only seat I wouldn’t buy is an ex display as you don’t know what’s happened to it whilst it’s been out of the box.

Most car seats are made in Germany. So they've already had a long delivery journey to get to the retail store. Some boxes even get dropped in transit but they're well packaged to avoid damage.
