Did you do anything differently during the month you got a BFP?

As the title says really!
Is there anything specific that you did differently to other months? We fell pregnant the first cycle when TTC#1 (I was 27) Trying for #2 now (I’m 30 now) 1 it’s not been long, a few months, but no hint of a BFP. I’ve been doing the same as we did when I conceived DS - ovulation tests, having sex a few days before and after ovulation, and folic acid. This last month I’ve been quite stressed about it, so I’m wondering if this next month I should ditch the OPKs and just have regular sex after 2-3 days?

Nope. The same as any other cycle. It's just a game of luck I think.

@Moonshine160 I literally didn't think about it, went about life as normal, enjoyed my Friday wine, eating whatever and living in the moment. We also only DTD three and two days before ovulation... currently 16 weeks pregnant 🥰

I erm, 'entertained' myself in the morning, so I was already quite (omg sorry there's no non-gross way of saying this) slippery by the time me and DH had sex a few hours later on ovulation day. This was after 15 unsuccessful months of timed trying. I can't tell if it made the difference but you did ask 😂

I had been clean eating, not drinking, etc but it was making myself miserable by doing it. Started eating a few treats and enjoying a couple of glasses of wine at the weekend. Got my BFP next month. I also ditched the opk, I'd just had my first Covid jab and decided I wanted to wait until after the second dose to start properly trying again.

I'm not saying go get drunk and eat a KFC, but relax and enjoy yourself. I think I had been putting too much pressure on myself before. Stress doesn't help with your fertility at all

Nothing different, it was lucky!

I went crazy with the preseed

WS the only month that we had sex every day for 15 days. I was so fed up of tracking and not falling pregnant.

Incidentally, according to dates, I would have ovulated 4 days earlier than my app and opk stated- no wonder I wasn’t getting pregnant.

No. I had read or heard somewhere that unless you had specific fertility issues, one should have sex every two to three days, ignoring pretty much your cycle. The stress of tracking and having to perform on the right days can be pretty soul destroying and a passion killer.
I was 40 when I got pregnant the first time, and yes we were actively trying and had just got married so DTD frequently, and I was pregnant by the fourth month. Same with my second - no tracking, just having sex a few times a week. Again I was pregnant four months later.
