HELP!Early scan, no baby/sac, low progesterone

Hi guys.. I’m just after some advice, support stories or even just some reassurance ..

I should be 7 weeks pregnant this week, but I’ve been feeling a tad unwell, with the common pregnancy symptoms of sickness, exhaustion, cramps and back ache. I rang my doctor who referred me to my local EPAU.

They brought me in today for a scan and some blood work. My scan showed no sac or baby. Just a thickened womb. They advised my ovaries look great, no cysts or masses to indicate eptopic. so they referred me for blood work. They narrowed it down to three options, I’m earlier than I thought.. I’m currently having a hidden small eptopic or a failed pregnancy.

I have had a call this evening to confirm my HCG is 2500 but my progesterone is low with a figure of 6.1. They said they want me to return in 48 hours to confirm
whats happening with my numbers.

has anyone been through anything similar? I’m racking my brain!

Really sorry to hear that. How certain are you about being 7 weeks? Hopefully your HCG levels will increase in 48hrs otherwise it's a missed miscarriage.

I think I ovulated later than usual, I track it all. The doctors are saying that they always go by the first day of last period which is 5th October making me 7 weeks but I believe I ovulated later last month.. hoping it increases. Thanks for commenting @Monday55

Is there an update OP? I'm in the same position - went for an early scan at supposedly 6 weeks (according to last period date) but there was no sac, just the thickened womb lining. No sign of ectopic. Am waiting for the results of my 48hr hormone level tests. I hope you got some good news x

Hi Lovely, no good news unfortunately for me. My HCG followed back at 26 and has been this low for 1 week on. Possible suspected eptopic but I’m currently heavy bleeding so not sure whether it’s coming away. I have a follow up appointment on Monday to see what my HCG is doing. I just want to know what’s happening with my body.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I really do feel for you. I've had three miscarriages in the past 112months and it's just shitty. I hope you get through this ok and have good luck in the future. Sending you all the best x
