Cyst removal in 2nd trimester

Has anyone had keyhole to remove a cyst during pregnancy? Mine has grown from 12cm at 8 weeks to 14cm at 12 weeks and it's started causing pain now so will be having it removed on consultant advice. Has anyone else had this? I have so many questions to ask 😩

On the scan the scan you (when you're under GA) before and after the op. I asked for a scan when I was awake too so I could see for myself and they were happy too. As you're further along that I was it might just be doppler as it was too small to hear tue heartbeat for me

Posted too soon. I wouldn't worry to much about the baby in the sense that they will be keeping an eye throughout and in my experience were more than happy to do a scan for me too so I could see for my own eyes baby was okay. I'm sure your scan six days later will be fine too as I was just routine antenatal care as soon as I went home, no follow up at all x

@ohwerehalfwaythere thank you so much. The scan is a private gender scan so I'm not sure if I'll be too sore! I'm sure everything will be fine it's just so many unknowns x

Just wanted to share incase anyone finds this thread in the future - the actual surgeon was incredibly reassuring on the day of my op (was the first time I felt reassured by anyone, but at the end of the day I was in his hands and no one else's!) and baby is fine 🥰
