Insane about of energy and adrenaline. Is this a sign?

No signs at all. Labour started abruptly.

TheCraicDealer · 24/11/2021 15:46

Lost my mucus plug in the morning, went into labour about 12hrs later when my waters went that night. I was also getting "twinges" throughout the day- with that and the mucus plug I knew it was kicking off. I did get fidgety but that was because I knew something was happening, don't think it was a sign in itself.

Justme10 · 24/11/2021 15:47

No signs for me either, just woke up 5 days before my due date with my waters breaking!

RollneckJumper · 24/11/2021 15:50

Went into labour 5 days before my due date. I had been struggling to get to sleep and at 4am I started getting stomach pains that came and went, and started to increase in intensity. Called the hospital and they told me to come in. Turns out I was in latent labour. If I could describe the pain.. it was like the worst period pains.

BridgetWhyNot · 24/11/2021 15:59

I've got a huge adrenaline surge and I've had it for hours. It's horrible. Really edgy and unlike me... can't stop doing jobs! Slight period pain too in tummy!!!

Not sure if it's just wishful thinking!

No signs at all with latest. I was in complete denial for the 1st 12 hours of labour as I had an elcs booked for the following day. I didn't want to labour as I was worried about scar rupture with big baby, over 20hrs of labour and I did get scar rupture with heavy blood loss.

SpeckledyHen · 24/11/2021 16:05

We hadn’t had any curtains at our kitchen windows for a year after moving in , and I got up and HAD to buy them that day. After an early dinner I got up on the work surface and hung them, much to my husband’s horror.

At 9pm my waters broke, I gave birth to a boy who screamed blue murder day and night until he was 10 months old , and there would have been no chance or desire to hang curtains for a very long time.
Mother Nature knew!

Chely · 24/11/2021 16:06

Oh I did do a lot of cleaning (sofas pulled out to clean under too) and wasing during labour, kept telling myself the contractions were braxton hicks.

Pumpkinstace · 24/11/2021 16:07

I was 31 weeks and my and my waters went Hollywood style

Fooshufflewickjbannanapants · 24/11/2021 16:09

The shits, the almighty goddam trots,

ArtfulScreamer · 24/11/2021 16:10

First time had period pains and a bloody show, contractions started but it was still 4 days before she was born by EMCS. Second time took DD to the park and started getting mild waves of pain but was only 37 weeks so dismissed it as nothing, contractions ramped up and only made hospital with 20mins to spare.

Sparkles512 · 24/11/2021 16:22

Also in the same position, I'm 37+5 and eagerly awaiting babies arrival!

Today I've been cleaning non stop 🙈
I feel anxious and on edge and been having period pains.

Fingers crossed we don't have to wait much longer to meet our bundles 🤞

Desperate urge to wash my hair Confused

MrsMargaretBeaufort · 24/11/2021 16:26

Had a dream that night I passed my late grandfather my new baby, when I woke up I was telling DH about my dream whilst making a cup of tea. My waters broke Shock

Second one my plug fell out ..

FrangipanFlower · 24/11/2021 16:28

I felt strangely excited and unable to sleep. Woke up two hours later to a little gush of my waters going and a bloody show, baby was here within 7 hours! No sign at all, and was only 37+5 but labour was brilliant. hope your adrenaline means your baby could be imminent!

Went into labour in the night and had DC2 9am

I felt very unsettled and just “wrong” somehow.
I can’t explain it very well but I just felt very very uneasy

supersop60 · 24/11/2021 16:38

DD - no warning at all. Pains woke me up at 7.30am.
DS - Braxton Hicks all day, no pain at all until 2am, got the trots, and he was born 4 hours later.

With my first, my waters just went. I'd been having braxton Hicks all day, it might have been early labour.

With the second, I had lots of braxton Hicks beforehand and then they just kept going one day...

Beenheresincethebook · 24/11/2021 19:40

Felt really emotional the evening before before times, went really into myself and felt unsettled didn’t want to talk to anyone and had a good cry about nothing 😂 then waters broke 4 hours and 2 hours respectively after that in the early hours. I knew the second time when I had the crying fit I would go in labour later that night. Both 3 days late .
Good luck!

FinallySomeNormality · 25/11/2021 13:14

Absolutely no signs at all!
Just woke up one morning in full labour.., even then I wasn't 100% sure it was actually labour 😂
