Hi

I'm hoping someone may be able to shed some light on this for me

I am 5+5 with my first pregnancy. Yesterday I started bleeding (not very heavy) mostly on wiping and during urination. Sorry if this is TMI. I have contacted the emergency pregnancy unit and have been told it may be implantation bleeding.

That's fine, however my understanding is that implantation bleeding happens around a week after fertilisation so how is it possible for that to be happening at this stage for me? My last period was 15/10/21

Thanks guys Smile

hope you’re ok @lulaa167 Smile could definitely be implantation bleeding as baby beds further into your uterus this can sometimes make you bleed! but there could be lots of other reasons too. in my experience I bled all the way through my pregnancy on & off, I was diagnosed half way through with a cervical ectropion. harmless to me & baby, just annoying really & caused A LOT of worry at the time Confused like you I just felt pretty fobbed off by my epu & wasn’t happy with their ‘support’, they never had me in for an appointment only when I went to A&E at 19 weeks with a really heavy bleed. thankfully all was ok for me & was just the ectropion, I know have a healthy 14 week old who I was told by a doctor would be completely oblivious to any bleeding I had!! Xx
