Hi,

I did a First Response 6 days earlier pregnancy test.

Would you say this is a positive result? Two lines appeared very quickly, although one is slightly faint.

Thank you.

@MCMelon @SimpsonsXmasBoogie @RainbowBabyForChristmasPlease @PurplePizzaCake

Would you do another test to confirm and if so how long would you wait to do it? This happened to me a few months ago I tested positive on a few and then a few days later my period arrived.

Congratulations, you are pregnant. No need for a second test.

You're previous experience will have unfortunately have been an early miscarriage rather than a false test. If you have any bleeding in early pregnant you should contact the Early pregnancy unit. The GP should be able to put you in contact. But for now, just enjoy it!

Scirocco · 24/11/2021 06:52

Yes, that's a very clear positive. Congratulations!

SimpsonsXmasBoogie · 24/11/2021 06:59

Sounds like last time perhaps you had a chemical pregnancy? I'm so sorry.

RainbowBabyForChristmasPlease · 24/11/2021 08:02

With a test as strong as that I don't think you need too. As PP's have said last time sounds like a chemical. When is your period due?

Beautyangel1 · 24/11/2021 11:40

@RainbowBabyForChristmasPlease my period was due on the 22nd November. I just wasn't sure if it was a false positive. I guess I just feel anxious after the last time.

I know it's easier said then done and you probably want to test every second of every day. I know I did, but experience for me was even though I was still getting strong positives at 9 weeks it didn't mean everything was ok. If you do want to do another test I'd maybe leave it another week or so and do a digital one. I'm pretty sure clear blue do a normal one and a digital in a pack. For me it became more real once I'd gotten the word Pregnant flash up. I'm not sure if a previous CP would be enough to get a reassurance scan. I had one due to a potential kidney infection and 3 previous miscarriages, but if it is definitely wait till at least 8 weeks. I went in for mine thinking I was around 7 weeks I wasn't i was much earlier than I thought and they couldn't find anything apart from the sac and then I had a stressful 3 week wait before I could go back again. I've got everything crossed for you that this time you go on to have a successful Pregnancy
