Sorry to come on in here on a Tuesday afternoon with thrush talk😂

So I'm 18 weeks pregnant on Friday. I was on progesterone pessaries at the start of my pregnancy till just before 16 weeks. (I did the back door option as front door was messy and did cause thrush) so I thought of got rid of that thrush, didn't have any signs, no discomfort. I had small amounts of discharge that just got put down to pregnancy discharge.

So go to Sunday and I get told I have a lot of thrush when I had an internal examination. They gave me 1 of the canesten pessaries and I used it that Sunday night. Also used the cream I had last night before bed. And today I've got A LOT of white discharge and I can feel it coming out (gross I know) so is this the thrush just coming out and clearing up or do I need to consult my doctor? I've never had thrush before so this is a first for me. Again I'm not in discomfort, I would be no wiser if I wasn't checked and told on Sunday.

Unfortunately I speak from a lot of experience! Sounds normal to me, like the medication is coming out and is clearing the infection! Give it a few days as pessaries normally break up and take a while to come out

Yeah, this is what happens with the pessaries. Totally disgusting, but I think it's normal.

Thank you ladies, I am a first time thrush victim😂 it's not happened today and I've not noticed discharge. Maybe a small bit on a panty liner but not as intense as yesterday. Hopefully the pessary has cleared it
