Hot drinks?

I’m a little over 7 weeks pregnant & have gone right off coffee (decaf) and tea (also decaf).

I don’t have strong nausea, more “morning tea sickness” that kicks in about 9am and settles after lunch, before coming back in the early evening.

I need something hot in the morning to get going & peppermint/herbal tea aren’t helping my tummy either. Has anyone found anything hot to drink that didn’t set off the nausea?

I developed a taste for ginger tea - just pure ginger tea - in my second pregnancy. Its good for reducing mild nausea and not insipid like any herbal teas - it's still the only herbal type tea I drink voluntarily.

I totally went off tea too! I used to drink blackcurrant squash with hot water instead. My taste for tea returned around 20 weeks! x

Hot water honey and lemon.

I went completely off all hot drinks too! If I’m honest I just forced down one cup of tea first thing in the morning (after a biscuit helped) and I just got used to it after a couple of weeks. Herbal teas and coffee were worse for me though just the thought could make me sick. I’m now 25 weeks and just managing to have them again but still don’t fancy a coffee but can drink it!

Afternoon drinks I’ve just switched to hot chocolate!

I went of tea and am still off it at 18 weeks, at first I drank hot water. But in the past few weeks I've been really into cold drinks- ice water, fruit juice etc

I lived off hot Ribena in early pregnancy! The winger spiced one for variety 😂

I’ve been exactly the same. No real nausea but completely off my usual tea or mint tea. A big squeeze of lemon in hot water is the only thing I can stomach since about 6 weeks. It’s really good for digestion too first thing in the morning.

I went right off tea too. The smell of red bush in particular made me want to hurl. I've been drinking a lot of hot chocolate, microwaved apple and orange juices or just plain hot water (surprisingly good when you just want something to sip on). Good luck!

I used to not be able to function without coffee, now the thought makes me gag! I've been having an options hot chocolate in the evening but not found anything for mornings yet 🥲

Peppermint tea or ginger tea - both I find good for settling my stomach. I’m too early to have any aversion yet (I think) but my first LO I couldn’t stand gravy! The smell used to make me absolutely sick as a dog.

Hot squash or hot chocolate for me!

Got water over raw ginger and lemon slices for me. You can just top up with more water if you want another drink.
