Only 2 blood vessels in umbilical cord... Has anyone had this before?

I had my anomaly scan today and was told there are only two blood vessels running through the umbilical cord when there would normally be 3 (Single umbilical artery I think it is called).
Just wondering if anyone else has had this before and what was the outcome, good or bad, just so I can prepare myself a bit…?😕
I have hypothyroidism and take Levothyroxine daily, so was wondering if this could have been what caused it… Again if anyone knows anything about this and whether the thyroid may have effected it, that would be really great to know!
Thanks in advance!

I had this with DC2. It wasn’t picked up until a scan at 34 weeks and my consultant barely even mentioned it.

Gave birth to a totally average weight, healthy baby.

Yes I had this, had to go back for regular growth scans. They thought baby might be on the small side. But then baby ended up being almost 10lb... no other problems

I had this with DS2. I had to go for scans more frequently to monitor his growth and they talked about inducing me from 35 weeks because he was bobbing along the 3rd centile but waited until he was 37 weeks in the end. He was a wee skinny thing when he was born though he started to pile on weight and got chubby pretty quickly.

I don't have any thyroid problems and didn't do anything differently from DS1 who didn't have it so it just seems totally random.
