Hello everyone! I am recently pregnant (first time) and I am feeling a little confused about the booking appointment. I filled in the self referral form and just today I received and SMS saying that I had an appointment for my 12 week scan, but I still don't have any info on when my first booking appointment will be. Should I still expect this to follow or do I need to contact Guy's to see what's going on?
To further add to my confusion, I am meant to be going to visit family overseas for the holidays in 2 weeks! I'm not meant to be back until my first scan, which means I'm away from 7-12 weeks pregnant, so I won't be in the country at the recommended 8-10 week timeline.
Has anyone been able to have their first appointment earlier than 8 weeks, or is it possible to have it over the phone? I know there are some blood tests at that time, but I'm wondering if I can arrange that part at a doctor near my family and provide the results to Guy's.
