Nesting - is labour near?! When did you get the urge?

I’m 32 weeks and today I’ve suddenly and very dramatically gone into nesting mode.. literally scrubbing everything in sight, walls, lightbulbs everything 😂

I didn’t have this with my other pregnancies really.. and I always thought it came near the end?

I’m convinced I’m further along than they think I am, baby is measuring 50th centile for 32 weeks but all of my babies have been small so I think I could be further along, carrying a small baby if that makes sense.

I’ve had loads of cramps and contractions the last couple of weeks, lost some plug, bump has dropped and I generally feel close to the end.

When did you start nesting and was it near the end? Did labour come on soon after?

I nested the day I went into labour !!!! Hopefully you're not too far off although the longer baby cooks the better. Xxx

I went into nesting mode 2 weeks ago but still no sign of labour for me unfortunately.
I've exhausted myself now with all I've done so I'm jsut going to patiently wait.

@grace1991 ooh that’s exciting!! I’ve never experienced it before but DH is gonna love it when he gets home later 😂

If baby actually is only 32 weeks then yes, I want him to stay put! But I’m convinced I’m further, I did a test 4 weeks before my BFP and got a really really faint line, but ignored it because DH said I was seeing things haha! But if that was right, I’d actually be 36 weeks and baby would be going along the same weight line as my other 3.

Maybe it’s just wishful thinking 🤣

@Motherbride haven't you had a dating scan? They will tell you exactly how many weeks the baby is xxx

@grace1991 yeah I did at 12 weeks, then they brought it forward by 3 weeks at my 20 week scan. They’re all an estimate anyway aren’t they!
