2nd trimester bleeding

Hi,

I'd made a previous thread querying What a normal discharge/bleeding is during pregnancy and I thought my issue was resolved but it hasn't! UTI and any other infections have been ruled out and the last thing they are querying is an issue with the placenta. I've had 3 uterine surgeries and done the worst thing by googling what issues I could be having and come up across placenta previa.

I am literally only having spotting/ light bleeding that only requires panty liner. My question is how many of you had this in 2nd trimester and had placenta previa, a different issue or no known cause. My scan is next Thursday and getting very anxious now.

Have they checked your cervix or ruled out a Hematoma on an ultrasound?

At 13 weeks I had some bleeding and a confirmed small Hematoma x

Yeah, I've had my cervix checked last Sunday and no issues there. They didn't do an ultrasound as I have one already booked for next Thursday...although that feels like ages away.

I had lots of bleeding, the latest at 15 weeks. It was a hematoma that they found at about 10 weeks and has shrunk, but that came with a bit of bleeding. Glad to say that everything seems fine now at about 18 weeks.If you're getting spotting maybe see if you can get an emergency scan for peace of mind. Good luck.

I'm 19 weeks tomorrow, looks like old blood today. Think I'll just need to try keep a level head and obviously phone if it gets heavy.

I'm currently 17+6 weeks and in hospital with bleeding. It was heavy last night and early hours this morning. I've had a scan and no issues with the placenta and baby seemed fine. Still no reason as to why I've been bleeding tho. I am also RH negative. They checked the cervix and that was closed. It's a worry isn't it. Get a private scan if it is making you anxious.
