I went out to eat and ordered a burger well done but when it came it had some slightly pink parts to it although most of it was brown. I had about two bites of brown meat before I saw the pink and sent it back. They brought me a new burger that was pretty much cremated but I was put off so I didn't eat much.

I'm just worried in case I could have eaten some of the pink parts as I know I am not immune to toxo (or I wasn't when I was tested about two and half years ago) and now I'm freaking out.

Please put my mind at ease - I'm 32 weeks pregnant Sad

Oh bless you. In a few years you'll be laughing about this, I promise. You'll be absolutely fine. Don't spend another minute thinking about it.

I meant to say "oh bless" but I've been in the USA recently - sorry!

You are not immune to it, so that means in your entire life up to this point you've not caught it (even with all the pink meat/ unwashed veg you've eaten).
How likely does it seem that those 2 tiny bits of pink meat will be the bits that have too? Very very unlikely right?
Toxoplasmosis is really very uncommon in the UK.
You've also eaten a miniscule amount. You will be fine Smile

As everyone says - highly unlikely anything happens. But you can call your GP to arrange a blood test, I had mine on Tuesday and results were ready in 3 days.

Thanks everyone, I know there's risks with everything that happens in life and in pregnancy but when you get fixated on one particular thing it can really take over!
