Frustration with SH maternity clothes

I have bought 4 pieces of maternity clothing from ebay and vinted - two dresses, one winter coat and one sweatshirt. Each time the seller had at least 10 positive reviews and described the item as being in a very good condition, but none of the really was. They coat which I just got, that was supposed to be in a very good condition has multiple stains in very visible places. The dresses and sweatshirt had visible signs of wear and I wouldn't wear any of them to work.

I guess my question is - am I just unlucky? Obviously I will try to get my money back and leave adequate feedback, but it discourages me from buying SH baby clothes.

I've not used Vinted, so I can only comment about ebay. However, for me someone with only 10 positive reviews would make me cautious. As it's really not a lot - looking back over my past ebay purchases they've all been from people with 250+ positive reviews.

I find that you really need to check the pictures thoroughly - so I tend to avoid sellers with bad/grainy pictures - as it makes me think they are trying to hide something.

As another option, do they do one of those pay by weight clothing sales near you? While they don't do a lot of specific maternity stuff, I've found them great for picking up some cheap floaty dresses to wear!

I've bought all of my SH maternity clothes from facebook groups and haven't yet been disappointed, all items described and priced fairly
