The exact same thing happened to me. It lasted for 48 hours and then stopped again. I think it was probably a bug rather than pregnancy related.

@Watto1 I am wondering if that could be the reason! Will see how I go.... thank you for replying!

My vomiting didn't start until about 10 weeks then lasted to about 18. Stopped until about 22. Started again and stopped at about 25. Then started again at about 32. I put it down to hormones being all over the place!

I had just mild nausea to begin with, got worse around end of 1st trimester, ended up being sick daily until I got medication, it stopped at 7 months. Hope that's not you! Baby is fine tho.

It can be nothing, it can also be an early and obscure indication your placenta is not functioning as it should. I had no vomiting in first term, and then every other day vomiting in second. I was confused by this as well. My concerns were dismissed by my midwife. And tbh, the not so on it doctors in my rural regional hospital would probably have dismissed them as well. (As I said the link is little known. I found only one reference to it and not even in peer-reviewed material.) My pregnancy did not have a happy ending due to the placenta situation, and I would 100% insist on being seen if second term-onset nausea were to happen again.
