Hi, this is my first pregnancy and currently 25 weeks. Not felt any yet but I feel like I need to be prepared! How do you know that it's braxton hicks and not labour? I'm scared I'm going to be one of those people going to hospital every week thinking I'm in labour when I'm not! Thanks x

The simple difference IMO is that braxton hicks doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable!

I would just describe as your bump get very hard and you feel heaviness and pressure; only for a few minutes. It isn't painful, but a little bit uncomfortable. I constantly have them especially when I'm walking.
You will get so use to them, I'm sure I have them more often but I don't always feel them anymore.
