Heyy, I'm currently 3 months pregnant and am taking sertraline, 50mg.
I will be halving it soon.
But is this ok?
Any one have healthy pregnancy whilst on sertraline?

Morning! I was on 100mg of sertraline until 6 months pregnant and then reduced/weaned off in 6 weeks, leaving a month to make sure it was out of baby's system before birth. Pregnancy was very non-eventful and baby is healthy.
Good luck

Yes, I took Sertraline for post-natal depression from 13 weeks in my fourth pregnancy and continued taking it throughout breastfeeding for 18 months. I had been on Citalopram before that but had to stop it when I found out I was pregnant and was put on to Sertraline instead because it's safer for pregnancy and breastfeeding.

As far as I remember I took 50mg while pregnant and 100g once the baby was born, on my GP's recommendation. What does your doctor recommend?

I found out I was pregnant recently. I was on 50mg of Sertraline and spoke to my GP about it. They said as I was coping pretty well emotionally now (went on them after 2 x bereavements weeks apart) that I could half the dose for a few days and then stop.

I thought this was a bit quick so halved the tablet for a week and a half.

Even though I was on a low dosage and not for that long I still found the withdrawal pretty rough, especially when being pregnant! Very tired, emotional, got the "brain zaps" and felt lightheaded for about 3 days. If I knew it would be like that I would have taken a few days off work! For the week after coming off then make sure you're taking it easy.

I was on the max dose (200mg) throughout pregnancy. No issues at all with the medication. My midwife and consultant were very supportive of me staying on it.
