Dispersible aspirin?

I know there are loads of threads about aspirin, but I have a more specific question.

I've been taking 150mg on the evenings due to previous miscarriages from my own research. I wasn't prescribed it but have been cleared by my midwife that it's safe to take.

Yesterday I ran out and today as I had a GP appointment I popped into the pharmacy across the street to get some more. I usually just buy it from the supermarket, the ones in the yellow pack. Well the pharmacy didn't have them, so I grabbed what they had and have only now realised they're dispersible rather than tablets, are they still ok to take?

Hello, yes they will be fine to take until you get some more normal ones x

I was taking prescribed dispersible ones - I don’t think it makes a difference aside from they make water taste horrible 😂

I have also been prescribed dispersible aspirin for my preeclampsia risk and they’re absolutely fine but like @Ameteurmum they’re not a complete joy to drink and whenever my partner asks if I’d like a drink with the my dinner, I have a little weep inside and say no it’s ok I’ve got my aspirin water 😂. I just sometimes have to add a little more water afterwards if I didn’t quite drink it all and some has stuck to the glass. Extra fun of course!

Oh thanks all! Yikes, not looking forward to it but at least they're safe!

I've always put squash in to take the edge off the taste.

You can just swallow dispersible tablets whole like normal, you don't have to dissolve them in a drink!

I was perscribed dispersible aspirin 75mg by my midwife for prevention of pre eclampsia. And its gross the taste but I shot it mix it with water in a dbl shot glass 50ml and shot it back with breakfast.

The GP gave me dispersible aspirin in pregnancy, I couldn’t take them but definitely safe.
