Hi all
Am just over 38 weeks, yesterday was having fairly regular contractions for approx 5 hours. Due to being my 3rd they told me to come in. I was only just over 1cm dilated and cervix 2cm long. Midwife said I could either go home or she would admit me to the ward. I chose to go home. She thought baby would make an appearance today or tomorrow. Contractions pretty much stopped now, just a dull period pain which comes and goes.
I guess my question is was this just a false alarm and I could still be pregnant for awhile longer or when you get to 1cm and have had contractions are you on your way (even if it’s not fast)
