Still spotting

I have been spotting everyday for the past week since I've had my BFP. It's not heavy just on/ off and almost a dark brown colour. I am only literally coming to the end of my 5th week so very early.

I don't have any other pain or discomfort. Maybe a dull ache lower abdomen.

I really hope this isn't a sign of an ectopic? I've got no history of ectopic as far as I know (first pregnancy). Is it normal to spot every day?

Thank you x

I spotted in my first pregnancy on and off through the entire pregnancy and no cause could ever be found and had a healthy DS. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and have only stopped spotting / bleeding in the last week. I've been for scans which have shown implantation bleeding which I was told would be absorbed by my body, and it's stopped now. I think spotting is quite common in early pregnancy but obviously if it carries on and you're worried then ask for a scan at EPU after 6 weeks Smile

@Regret89 thank you for your response, wondering if it was just me. It's odd as it's just on and off and it's not a lot to really be concerned over but it's been every day.

I have my first check up soon and will mention it then Smile

I spotted in all my pregnancies first 2 were fine and last one was slightly more concerning but the bleeding got very heavy very quickly and also my waters had started to go at 15 weeks. The first 2 I spotted for a few days though around the time my period was due which is pretty common! Just keep an eye on its colour frequency and how much. Its always worth a trip to the Dr even for peace of mind 💜

Thank you @Tinysalmon4459 it's every day and just faint/ dark brown when I wipe. This week is when I would have been on my period. Pregnancy is an emotional roller coaster 🎢
