Hi ladies

After a bit of advice pls. I'm 37+3, second baby and have had tightenings in my abdomen which comes with backache for about 2.5 hours now. Wouldn't describe them as painful, but uncomfortable so assumed BH. But I've been tracking them and I've had about 7/8 an hour. The lower back ache is dull but is there most of the time.

Also started to get my first "lightning crotch" tonight, and been for two bowel movements.

I'm booked for an ELCS and have been told to go in at any sign of labour, but as these haven't been painful I don't want to waste anyone's time if this is just BH! It's worth mentioning I've had BH quite often for the last few weeks, but never been this frequent.

Does this sound like the start of something? Or just BH? Could real labour start with regular, non painful contractions?

I never had BH so can't say anything to that. However, if you've been told to go in at any sign, then do it. I've never met a midwife who has said anything other than 'if in doubt, come in'

Good luck 🙂
