Any tips for morning sickness? I'm pregnant with my second and I didn't have this with my first! I have a phobia of being sick too 🙈 any tips for making it more bearable?

I feel for you! Eating something salty first thing in the morning and whenever the nausea hit helped me (so ritz crackers, rice cakes with marmite etc.). I found it got worse when I was hungry throughout the day so making sure I kept on top of that helped, too. I also totally threw out any ideas of trying to eat 'healthy' food (the idea of soups, smoothies or fresh fruit juices was gross) and basically went back to a kid's diet of sandwiches, crisps, yoghurts, cereal, chips, fish fingers, vegan chicken nuggets etc. and that worked really well. The idea of drinking water made me feel ill so I got some nice squash mixes to keep my hydration up. And even though I really didn't feel like it sometimes, forcing myself out the door to get some fresh air and take in lots of deep breaths on walks lifted the worst of it. Also, just make sure you're getting lots of rest and being really kind to yourself and taking on as little as possible — the first trimester is tough!

I've been wearing travel sickness bands which seems to have been taking the edge off the last few days. Still get waves of it being worse but it's made the rest of the time manageable.

I have a phobia of being sick too, I have medication from the GP.

But other than that, plain snacks little and often, ice cold water, salt and vinegar crisps and granny smith apples help me. Also avoiding anything too fatty or greasy, I stick to fairly “light” protein, eg fish or chicken rather than sausages which make me feel worse.

Thanks ladies! It's literally knocked me for six! I naively thought because I was lucky last time I would be this time!
