Pregnancy anxiety

Hi,

I've recently found out that I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I really want to be excited but I just feel like something is going to go wrong.

I'm 29 and since coming off the depo injection in 2018 I've had irregular periods. Due to this I had numerous blood tests at the doctors (day 21 bloods) which showed that my progesterone levels were low. I know that this was to be expected because my doctors were just doing the blood tests at random times of the month (I didn't even have a period in between two of the blood tests). I've now been googling and (obviously Google is the devil) and read that there are links between low progesterone and miscarriage.

I've called the doctors to get my booking appointment and asked about getting blood tests done and they've said no and seemed a bit confused when I asked about them. They've said because my BMI is below 30 and it's my first pregnancy, I need to just wait until the midwives call me about my first appointment which is around 3 weeks away.

My anxiety is through the roof right now and I can't think about anything else.

What is it exactly that you want to be tested for? I imagine that’s why they were confused.

@SweetBabyCheeses99 my progesterone levels mostly. I only asked about bloods because I've seen loads of posts on here with people saying that they had their bloods checked with the doctors who confirmed pregnancy so I just assumed that's what normally happens?
