35 weeks period like pains

I’m a FTM at 35 weeks and have been having dull period pains and some back ache. I first thought it was constipation related pain but now I’m not so sure. It’s not cramping pain so I didn’t think it was BH. Are these normal?

I'd definitely recommend speaking to your midwife if you're worried, but I've been having this intermittently since about 32/33 weeks (second baby) and nothing has happened yet, I'm almost 37 weeks now. Baby has been engaged for ages though, so I've put the pains and cramps down to the fact that he's so low down.
