Whooping Cough Jab side effects

Morning all,

Wondered if anyone here has experienced bad side effects after having the whooping cough jab?
I had it on Thurs morning and had a bit of a sore arm but overnight in to Friday came down when really bad sickness / diarrhoea and a fever. Felt terrible all of yesterday but much better this morning.
Midwife said yesterday that it’s unlikely to be the jab but if it was a sickness bug surely it wouldn’t have passed this quickly Confused
(Little one was kick kicking me all yesterday which made me feel better though as I knew feeling rotten for a day was worth it to keep him safe)
Just wondered if anyone has anything similar?
Thanks

I had my whooping cough jab last week. No side effects except a sore arm.

Coincidentally my husband came down with a sickness bug yesterday early hours of the morning, vomited until lunchtime, slept most of the day, and today feels well enough to go to work.

I think the midwife is probably right!

I’ve had it around 10 times as an adult. The last time was the only time I was sick from it. I had awful flu like symptoms for 48 hours.

I've had it 3 times now, in all my pregnancies. Never had any side effects. There's definitely a vomiting bug going round though, as both my kids have had it!

Yes I had it when pregnant felt fine on the day but woke up feeling awful the next. Was vomiting and feeling fluey but it had gone within 24 hours. My friend had the same when she had hers. I think some ppl do get a short sickness from it.

Thanks all. Guess I won’t know for sure what caused it but glad to be able to keep some food down this morning!
@CaramelWaferAndTea sounds just like me! Glad to hear he’s better too.

I had my whooping cough vaccine last Friday (5th) and I still have a tender arm. I also have a swollen painful lump in my arm at the injection site. First reaction I’ve ever had to a jab
