Hi ladies,

I have just found out that I am pregnant again after suffering a missed miscarriage in April at 12 weeks,I have tried everything under the sun to help get pregnant and now it's happened I'm so scared to go through a miscarriage again. This is the first month I haven't tracked ovulation or taken any ridiculously expensive supplements! Only one of my boobs hurt and I've had cramps in my left side and lower back. I'm googling everything which i know is so silly and probably making my anxiety worse. I want to be happy but then again I don't want to get my hopes up.

Thank you xx

Huge congratulations to you, stop with the googling! Hard I know!

I am currently 13 weeks after a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks earlier this year. We found out at our 12 week scan last time and we had our scan this time a few days ago and thankfully everything is looking great so far!

There is no reason for this pregnancy not to go well. Different egg, different sperm.

You will worry. Nothing anybody can say will change that. But try not to.

You are pregnant!! And that is amazing. Congratulations!!

Congratulations. It's to tough mentally when you are pregnancy after a miscarriage.

A piece of advice a midwife gave me on a pregnancy post miscarriage is that all pregnancies are different so symptom spotting is so hard. Ie if you don't get morning sickness isn't necessarily a bad sign.

I had lost babies at the 8/9 week mark and my last pregnancy was after those losses. I coped just about to 12 weeks by having two early scans - one at 8 weeks and one at 10 weeks (we opted for the harmony test due to my age).

Those early scans really helped me survive to 12 weeks.

Take each week as they come and hope all is well for you

Thank you - I think around the end of July 2022. My clearblue states I'm 2-3 weeks so very early on!

Thank you. That's really good advice and lovely to hear I'm not the only crazy one who has panicked. I think I'm going to book a couple of private scans just for pierce of mind.

I had an early miscarriage and I remember feeling absolutely terrified and convinced something was going to go wrong again but he's a strapping 21 year old now!
It's easy to tell you not to worry but just try to take each day as it comes. Good luck! Thanks

Congratulations! I’m in same situation and I know it’s so hard not to worry but like others have said there’s no reason this time won’t work out perfectly and I really hope it does for you. I’m 10 weeks now and had scans at 6 weeks and 9 weeks as I needed goals to reach in my head. But the next one will be the 12 week scan and I’m just hoping we still see that little heartbeat. It’s fantastic you are pregnant and I hope you get to enjoy it x

MissRJC · 17/11/2021 06:48

Thank you so much ladies. I've accepted that there is very little I can do to control pregnancies and prevent a MC. I'm going to try and enjoy it as much as I can and hope all is well 🙏
