@Scottishgal85 oh I bet it's frustrating!! have they induced you already and baby just wants to stay in, or haven't they started inducing you yet??
I hope things will start moving soon for you!!
At least if you are in hospital you and your baby are well checked and safe!
sending good vibes!!

Scottishgal85 · 23/12/2021 15:24

I had a 24 hour pessary to start, but it didn't work. So the next step is a 6 hour gel to get the cervix ready, it's not been that effective either so I'm on my third and final dose of the gel. After that they will break my waters and start me on the hormone drip. It's not bad pain-wise at all at the moment, it's the waiting around and nothing happening that's tough.
I think the wee guy is just too comfy in there 🤷🏻‍♀️

SouthwestSis · 24/12/2021 10:04

Hope your labour has started to progress @Scottishgal85!
I'm feeling happy and relieved to have made it to my parents house without any of us catching covid, so we can spend Christmas together, hooray!

spttc · 24/12/2021 10:57

@Scottishgal85 congratulations! Hope your both doing ok x x

SouthwestSis · 27/12/2021 10:07

Eek now that Christmas is over I really feel I have little left to distract me from the fact that I could be a mum within 2 or 3 weeks!
Even though I can feel him wriggling inside me, it still doesn't feel real at times!
This week I'm going to do all the boring life admin that's due in January, get our MOT booked, insurance renewal quotes, book in a boiler service etc.
I only have 5 days left of work too (ive already switched to working from home) so that's exciting!

specky114 · 29/12/2021 15:12

Hi everyone,
Have been watching this thread for a while. I hope it's ok to join. I'm due 18th January.

I have read a good few of you have already had your booster vaccines - great news! I was wondering if anyone has had all 3 Covid vaccines during their pregnancy including the booster after 3 months?

I've had my first 2 (14 weeks and 20 weeks) and I wasn't sure whether to have my booster before or after baby. I'm worried about having all 3 vaccines whilst pregnant although I do want to get the booster at some point. I have spoken to 2 GPS who said it was fine to get now; however I also spoke to a midwife who said the guidance for pregnant women hadn't changed and it was still 6 months between the 2nd dose and the booster.

I was hoping to get some advice or see what other people are doing/thinking?

Sorry for the long post!

@specky114 I'm in a similar situation to you, had my 1st vaccine at about 16 weeks, and my second at 24ish weeks. I'm being induced in 2-3 weeks and so thinking I might just leave my booster til after the baby is here now

mummyh2016 · 29/12/2021 15:46

@specky114 I had my first one a couple of days after finding out at 4 weeks, second one at 12 weeks and my booster last week, I'm due end of jan.

sjxoxo · 29/12/2021 16:52

@specky114 in the same boat too- having my booster tomorrow. Im a bit nervous it will wipe me out for a couple of days as I felt a bit rough after my 2nd jab; but I’m in France and cases are rising so thought I’d have it now. I’ve had 2 Pfizer & tomorrows booster is a Moderna.

Have you all got your bags packed?! Im packing baby’s bag tonight.. had a growth scan yesterday, his feet are 8cm. Obviously got home & immediately measured the feet of the 0-3m babygrows I have, they’re not 8cm 🤣 thoughts on Thumper as a name?? Haha. Talking of feet- mine are killing me these days! All the extra weight & fluid is a killer xo

SouthwestSis · 29/12/2021 17:08

If its more than 3 months since your 2nd dose then definitely go ahead and get your booster, since the effect of the 2nd dose will be falling and we are at literally the most risky point in our pregnancies for catching covid right now!

I have got a bag packed but it was a bit rushed as we took it with us when visiting family for Christmas, so should probably go back and do it a bit more properly now.

Crazydoglady123 · 29/12/2021 18:38

@sjxoxo are you sure they didn't mean femur length as 8cm?

Crazydoglady123 · 29/12/2021 18:39

I've actually got my bag out of the car to reorganise as mine was done very rushed when I had the bleed 3 weeks ago. Packing some granny knickers 😂
